Research / Academic Activities:
In view of the fast changing economic scenario, the department of Commerce is teaching and doing research in the areas of Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development. The research activity is an integral part of the department. At present the department is engaged in the quite upcoming and emerging areas of research such as corporate governance, green marketing, entrepreneurship, application of Balance Score Card, financial inclusion, different flagship programmes of the government, rural marketing, horticulture marketing, workplace spirituality, e-commerce and digitization etc. to meet the requirement of different sectors.
Participation in seminars/conferences and workshops are the regular feature of the department. For the strengthening of the knowledge of research scholars the department has organized various workshops on research methodology. All the faculty members and research scholars have been attending various national and international seminar/conferences/workshop organized by the reputed institutions. Apart from it, the department has been inviting academicians from reputed Universities and Institutes to deliver lectures on different aspects of Commerce and Management.
