Department of Secretarial Practice which comes under Faculty of Commerce HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar-Garhwal was established in 1979. The Department is successfully running a Professional and job oriented course in Birla Campus, Srinagar-Garhwal namely Post Graduate Diploma in Company Administration having the duration of one academic session since 1985 with the objective to prepare middle level management executives particularly for the company administration and secretarial function specially in those companies where the requirement of appointment of qualified company secretary is not essential. The same course is also being run in SRT Campus, Badshahithaul Tehri (Garhwal) since 1998.
