Research Activities:
- The faculty has completed nine major research projects (MRP) funded by UGC, ICSSR, ICIMODE, BMA and GBRI besides one ongoing project (2009-11).
- Nearly 38 research papers have been published in reputed Journals with in last five years (South Asian Journal of Mgt., NICE Journal of Business, Indian Mgt. Studies Journal, The Journal of Accounting and Finance, PARADIGM etc.)
- Presently 18 research scholars are pursuing their Doctoral work in the department
- Keeping in view the economic backwardness of the region the department is striving to carry out studies on different economic issues of the region.
Memorandum of Understanding :
- University of Jammu, India (Faculties of respective Universities have delivered lectures, interacted on different research proposals and also shared their expertise to develop curriculum for the students)
- Gdansk University of Technology, Poland (one of the Faculty has visited the concerned University during 13 Jan. to 28th Jan. 2009 and delivered lectures on different business related issues and also interacted on potential research proposals of mutual interest).

- Various Workshops, Conferences and Training Programmes attended by the Faculties/Research Scholar in different Academic Institutions in India and abroad.
Other Information:
- Students of the faculty have continuously won cultural and academic Championship during last four years in Inter Faculty and Inter Collegiate Competitions.
- To meet the demand of job market, computerized accounting and communication skills programmes have been introduced in the curriculum at UG level
